Duo Tippy Hoop

Elle Walton is a multidisciplinary performing artist and researcher who strives to combine her intellectual and physical curiosity. She has performed internationally through varieté shows, festivals, and cruise ships. She has also taught worldwide including in Canada, Mexico, Switzerland, Germany and France. In 2018, she founded the Boise Circus Guild, where she served as artistic director, and in 2025, she co-founded SPEC Circus in Massachusetts. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy at UMass Amherst, untangling the weird and wonderful overlap of metaphysics and performance art.

In this workshop, students will experience the joy of tippy hoop with a partner while learning to strategically control this wily apparatus! No duo experience necessary, and no need to arrive with a partner.

Participants in this workshop MUST have aerial experience, and be confident/proficient in the following:

• 10-second straight arm hang

• multiple in-air inverts
